PHOTO INFORMATION: State Representative Bill G. Schuette (center, holding plaque) was recently presented with the Friend of Industry Award by the Michigan Beverage Association.
“Our state’s beverage industry employs thousands of people statewide and nearly 100 percent of the products they put in stores are made in Michigan facilities by Michigan workers,” Schuette said. “I am incredibly honored to receive this award and I remain committed to cultivating a healthy environment for job providers and workers both in our region and across Michigan. The outlook for our state is strong when we have commonsense policies that encourage growth, support good-paying careers and don’t burden both job providers currently in Michigan and ones looking to locate here. I’ll continue to advocate for policies in the Legislature that reflect this reality.”
Schuette, who was joined for the presentation by members of the association and its Board of Directors, represents the 95th House District, which includes all of Midland County, and Beaverton, Billings and Tobacco townships in Gladwin County.
